Happy New Year!!! (depends on time etc)

I’m probably not the only one who have seen all the “new year new me”, “new year goals” etc posts, and thought nah bullshit. Deep inside I know it’s not gonna happen and it’s just an optimistic idea. But we actually need some optimistic attitude if we want to succeed and make a better difference to ourselves (or the world). The “new year new me” is somehow an kickstart to a better lifestyle or whatever.

New Year’s Eve… I haven’t bought a dress yet or have any outfit… Mostly because of economy crisis and I get my money 31th… Damn salary system -.-

But this year I let myself be inspired by midnight shine. Yeah, I mean Dark midnight blue, silver, sequins and black. I think it’s perfect and has a touch of city glamour. I allow this new year to be a little more luxurious than usual and go for something “more expensive than usual”.

No, as I told you – I have economic crisis and can barely effort a dress for New Year xD If I had money I would go for the luxurious theme *-*

Hey Peeps!

As soon as the christmas holiday started I attended to 2 parties, Both birthday parties. Still my outfits where quite different. I wore a white panjavi with black heels and statement earrings. I’ve been waiting a year to wear these earrings, and finally found an opportunity to do it 😉 The second outfit was a grey kashmir-a-like sweater combined with a black jumpsuit and a studded belt. I usually don’t wear jumpsuits, but my friend bought it from asos and it wasn’t her size so she gave it to me ^_^

As I earlier mentioned; I prefer spending my holiday on doing nothing else than having some me-time. But apparently my dad keeps giving me work to do so… -.- urgh.. And I have this book to read and bleh bleh.

I celebrated christmas eve with my family and two other families. We got food like it was thanksgiving, opened presents and had a cosy time with each other.

My holiday is going well so far, but I can’t stop thinking on the assignments and homework I have be prepared on. Damn school, thank lord there is only a half year left. 🙂 ♥

Hello fellows (da gurrls)

I started my christmas holiday by finally handing the SRP (project), which I’ve spent 2 weeks on, to the school office. It was so stressing, because of some non-existing materials and the constant distraction of christmas decoration and spirit. But I finished it and can finally enjoy my holiday.

Wondering why I posted pictures of what I would call “paradise destinations”? Because I wish that the higher power of the universe (maybe God?) could bring me to the earth-based paradises where I could chill and relax the whole christmas holiday!

May I swear? Cuz I really don’t like snow and cold weather. I prefer 2 weeks in the tropics than a white-christmas. Ugh, I can’t even… So.. a message to the higher power of the universe: BRING ME TO EARTH-BASED PARADISE!

Wuhuuu! Finally December! It’s like the Friday of the months. Think about all the nice stuff that only (theoretically) can be done in this time of the year. For instance drinking hot chocolate, decorate christmas tree and house, ice skating and the cozy atmosphere. But I’m pretty convinced that it’s going to be a hard time for my credit card and economy. Gift for dad – gift for mom – gift for bro – gift for sis – gift for dog etc. Looking back on the stuff I bought last month make me wish I had spared my money, but on the other hand I don’t regret my purchases :p Honestly I find it very difficult to make a wish list for my family. I don’t need anything. Not even clothes. No I’m not sick, I probably just reached a point in my life, where I don’t need material things to be satisfied or make me happy anymore 😮

Made this calendar-candle 2nd December – traditionally we put spruce around the candle to hide the clay, but my sis insisted not to buy it for no reason. So I improvised by decorate it with other stuff.

Addicted to this scrub! I got a smaller one for my birthday, and really liked it. So I finally bought huge size. And the smell is so exotic!

I wanted this lipstick from MAC for long! And it’s currently my favorite for W14/15.

Tried this Arizona Green tea and it wasn’t that bad. It’s handy to bring to school or outside. But I think I prefer warm tea. Anyway the bottle looks so tempting so I couldn’t resist trying it.

I chose this Chanel_579paparazzi for fall14, and think I’ll continue with this color for W14/15.

I don’t know whether it is a girl-thing or not, but I have a certain weakness for flowers (specially those pinky fluffy ones). For example peonies! I love pink peonies and roses arranged in vases and bouquets – it look so homely and has a fresh atmospheric effect on the environment. Adding some colourfull flowers to the house-decoration, is like a touch of a unique personality and a symbol of living, fresh, natural material.What makes it personal is, that you can choose any flower(s) that reflects your personality, mood or style!

Personally I have a weakness for Victorian flowers, which are roses, spray roses, peonies, lavender, gardenias and freesia. Arrange them in romantic vases of clear glass, crystal, silver or a elegant vintage teapot/cup, will make it look so romantic and elegant.

The “Cross-over” – Arrangement

ind a vase that fits inside another vase with half an inch of room between them. Fill the space between the two vases up most of the way with water before slipping in sliced lemons. Pop your accent flowers (On this pic: sunflowers) in the center vase, and voilà!

Few tips’n tricks:

1) Open closed buds quickly by putting them in warm water first, then cold water. After cutting flower stems (described in No. 2) put the flowers in a glass filled with warm water. After a minute, move the flowers to a vase filled with cold water and leave them for 20 minutes. The flowers will open up to their maximum size.

2) Cut the stems of your flowers at a 45-degree angle one inch from the bottom. This instantly increases the surface area for water intake, so the flowers will be well hydrated.

3) Create a vodka + teaspoon of sugar concoction to keep the flowers looking flawless longer. Before putting your flowers in a vase, add several drops of vodka and a teaspoon of white sugar, which delays wilting. When your flowers eventually do start to die (sad face), add a shot of vodka into the water and the stems will stand up straight again for a day or two. Pictured here: tulip orange princess flowers.

4) Water your orchid with an ice cube, since it’s the perfect amount of hydration. First, repot your orchid into a vase using potting soil, if it isn’t already in a vase, and then water the orchid with one ice cube a week. For larger orchids, use two ice cubes a week. The ice cube melts slowly and gives the orchid a slow drip of hydration, so that it doesn’t drown it.

5) Drop a penny in your vase to keep your flower water fresh longer. The copper in pennies works as an acidifier, which helps prevent fungus or bacteria from growing. Note: Marshall suggests looking for pennies minted before 1982, since they contain more copper and will keep your arrangement look amazing a couple of days longer.
