Hey guys! Yup, another spontaneous adventure 😀 I went to Aalborg with my brother and received a call from our friends asking if we wanted to go to Aarhus and visit the Art museum Aros. I’ve always wanted to go, so of course I couldn’t say no. It was a hot day and great weather to walk around and explore. We had a great time and found a cute little Café in Aarhus, which is a funny story. We were walking around, looking for a place to eat. We walked through a little road when a piece of cake caught our attention. It looked so delicious that we decided to check out their menu-card outside, when a woman knocked on the glass and said, “if you’re looking for really good food, then this is the place”. We ended up eating there and it was actually really good, and especially their homemade lemonade!

I will probably do a post about my recent beauty purchases/haul, since I’ve got so much new junk. I seriously need help, I can’t stop myself when it comes to beauty products even though I don’t use it on daily basis -.-

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water || Review

Hey guys! As a makeup-user I am looking for a good makeup remover. Specially for the heavier makeup after a tamil party or so. There’s nothing like easy makeup removal when it is late night and you’re tired, and even considering to not remove it (shame shame). Today I want to review this product from Garnier I’ve heard about in several commercials. As you can see, I’m half way through the product and want to share my thoughts about it, how I use it and compare it with my previous makeup remover from MAC.

Garnier – Micellar Cleansing Water

Decription:

A super efficient and gentle way to cleanse, remove makeup, soothe the feel of skin and hydrate in just one step – it’s not magic, it’s Garnier Micellar! Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water contains micelles which act like magnets, gently lifting away makeup and impurities from the skin, without the need to rub or rinse. The result? Beautifully cleansed and refreshed feeling skin in an instant. The formula is suitable for the face, eye area and lips, has no perfume and comes in a generous 400ml size.

Size: 400ml

Use: Adding some drops on a cotton-pad – to remove eyemakeup I press it on the lid, wait a few seconds and wipe it off. For the face I gently wipe the makeup away. I also use this before bed to remove dirt from pores before I apply night-oil.

Opinion: this micellar water removes my makeup effortlessly, quick and leaves the skin soft. It removes all makeup! Eye-, lip-, face-, waterproof- and long wearing makeup. I got it for 50kr and I get 400ml product, which is great. It is not travel-friendly though because of the size but considering the product itself, it is really good.

Garnier vs MAC

MAC cosmetics – Mineralizing Charged Water

Desription:

A lightweight cleanser formulated with our ionized Super-Duo Charged Water technology. Removes all makeup (except waterproof and long wearing) with a wipe – no rinse-off required. Leaves skin nourished, soft, absolutely clean

Size: 100ml

Use: Adding some drops to a cotton-pad. I mainly use this to remove eye makeup, so I press the cotton-pad to my eyelid and let it break down the makeup before I wipe it off. If I have some spot left on the pad I’ll wipe my face makeup off with it – but I prefer to use a makeup remover wipe for my face instead of this charged water.

OpinionThe pros about this product are, that it removes my eye makeup gently, leaves my skin feeling refreshed and hydrated. As mentioned in the description, this product doesn’t remove waterproof and long wearing makeup. Mostly when I go for a heavy makeup I make sure it is also long-lasting, so this product isn’t the one I would reach for late night after a party. But it would probably work for lightweight, daytime, minimalistic makeup. I think I bought this for around 155kr which is a lot for only 100ml. But it is more travel-friendly in size.

Over-all I prefer Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water because of the price, the amount of product and effectivity. I would definitely repurchase it and recommend it :)♥
